SOUTHERN GOTHIC PRODUCTIONS:
Safe. Gracious. Potent. Supportive. Gifted. Personal. Solid. Grounded. Phenomenal.
...And I could do this all day. You don't ever reach the point where you can say too much about something that has had a world wide impact. However as one of the newest contributing authors I was asked to share with you how SoGoPro has changed my world.
Ten weeks and five days ago, at an ungodly hour, I stumbled upon SoGoPro.com (and by 'stumbled' I mean I googled 'Hilarie Burton'). Life had been crazy, full of change and I needed something to get lost in. I wasn't expecting to find that needed escape on the internet but as Hilarie so rightly put it, 'the cosmos must've alerted me to this particular stack because I had already given up hope'. SoGoPro became a home away from home of sorts. I got lost in the people and their stories, their dreams, ambitions, and life experiences. And somewhere in the midst of losing myself I was reminded of what I'm passionate about, of what I believe in, of what I want out of life, and the greatness I'm capable of.
Southern Gothic Productions, Hilarie, Nick, and Kelly appreciate the uniqueness in people. The street team doesn't hesitate to support and encourage everyone who stops in to say, "hello, this is me...".
Ten weeks and five days ago I was living in Eugene, Oregon without a clue as to what my next step in life was going to be. As of two weeks and three days ago I am calling Los Angeles, California home. I'm chasing a dream I forgot was mine and the credit for the reminder goes to the entire Southern Gothic Productions team! THANK YOU!
I leave you now with a poem I wrote just over a month ago in gratitude for the impact that SoGoPro has had on my life since day one. Thank you for being a wonderful audience. Until next time...

"gratitude for a stranger"
I'm miles from where you are
And still you've managed
To strike the flint just right
And fan that spark into a fire
Engulfing all my hesitation in the blaze
All before you knew my name
Courage is infectious
And I've caught the disease
I've suffered the fever of disbelief
But now my confidence is gaining
With your voice you've allowed the world to speak
To humbly tell their story
You gave a voice to me
