An Inspirational poem

Hey all,
so this week I've decided that I am going to post a poem that I have been working on for some time now. It took me a while to get the wording just right and its still not how I want it to be but I am going to post what I have so far. Now, as you know sogopro is a very creative place where we can come together and collaborate ideas but I think its a very inspirational place full of inspirational "Women." I have been very inspired by this aspect because for decades boys have been running things so to see women show off there talents and artistic ability is mind-blowing. I am not trying to bash on the boys that are apart of this community, I just think it's amazing to see such strong women show of there craft.

This is to the ones that said we couldn't do it
To the ones that said we'd fail
This is to the ones who judged us
Because we weren't a male
This is to the ones who criticized our dreams
And forced us to become unseen
This is to the ones who laughed at us
When we marched that naked street
This is to the ones who let us get beat
and stood by like we were invisable
We only wanted the right to vote
Maybe even a little hope
This is to the ones who forced us into the back
Just because we were black
This is to the women who proved them wrong
Thank the lord you were strong
