A few friendly reminders:

Hey folks-
Just wanted to take this opportunity to mention a few things-

1) February Street Team Awards are announced Monday, the 15th! Make sure you've recognized a fellow Street Team member for their efforts :) As always this is a fantastic opportunity to show appreciation for the many members of our wonderful team! Get in on it and vote ;)

I don't need to remind you all to be thoughtful with your nominees- Please make sure they deserve the award... And as it's been said before, think about all of the Quiet Contributors... There are so many people that keep the spirit of SoGoPro going every day... Don't overlook anyone!

2) Have you voted in the Poll on the sidebar? What a cool way to share with us what music you've started listening to thanks to the SoGoPro Podcasts. A lot of thought goes into the music selection, this is your way of showing our community that you really are "listening" ;)

3) It's looking a little grim over at the Street Team Last.fm- There are several discussions going on over there that a lot of folks don't seem to know about/post in. The discussions are musically relevant, but also can be interesting for those out there who feel "disconnected" from the music scene. For example, currently there's a discussion about Music in Education- whether it should be taken out of schools to save money, or if it should be salvaged.
A big part of our community is our ancillary sites. We spread out over Flickr, Last.fm, Twitter, Shelfari- And some of these pages attract more attention then others. I'd really love to see some more activity on the Last.fm- as music is a huge part of SoGoPro and because I know there are a lot of you out there who would have very interesting opinions!
Share them! Check out the Last.fm page, join the group and take part in the discussions! It's another way to interact with our awesome teammates!

4) Last but not least- The Street Team Song! Ideas have been coming in at a slow pace, but it'd be really cool to see you all start putting your thinking caps on! I know you all can rhyme.
You can make up lyrics about any/all aspects of our team. Specific members, The Hellick, Chat- whatever you like! Use Humor! Show your pride! Musician or not you can contribute!
So let your imagination start taking hold and send your ideas to K.ditommaso@gmail.com or if you're an author, post them here! Let's make this happen! I promise, you'll think it's cool when you're hearing your lyrics, and your playing mixed together with people from all over the world!
